7 Day Recreational Kayak Tour Itinerary 

LENGTH: 7 Days Total  - 5 Days Camping 
DATES: November - April

ACCOMMODATION: Two Nights Hotel( double occupancy)  Low-Impact Camping
DEPARTS FROM: Loreto
COST: $1250.00 – Airfare not included

Guests arrive on Saturdays and depart the following Sunday 

Easy to intermediate; sea kayaking, canyon hiking, whale watching, snorkeling and fishing.

These routes are intended for someone with basic boat handling skills, is comfortable maneuvering on flat water or light chop in winds to 10 knots. Maybe you've taken a class or have learned basic rescue techniques and are able to get back in your boat after capsize. Most beginner routes are near shorelines, offering landing access. Surf is generally nonexistent or less than 1 foot.

Saturday. If you arrive in Loreto by airline we will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel. After checking in we will meet for an evening orientation and discussion of trip details.

Sunday. Transfer to Puerto Escondido. After an introduction to the art of kayaking and safety procedures, we will paddle to Punta Coyote for the first night camp.

Monday. Cross the channel to Isla Danzante and a sandy beach, keeping watch for telltale plumes of whales spouting offshore.


Tuesday. Cross to Isla Carmen and paddle north along the eastern coastline to another perfect campsite with a view of the cliffs and peaks of the Sierra Giganta.

Wednesday. Exploration of the sea cave and Arroyo Blanco.

Thursday. A day of paddling, swimming and snorkeling as we explore the beaches and arroyo canyons of Salinas Bay and the old salt ponds.
 

Friday. When a sighting presents an opportunity, we’ll paddle offshore on the way south to observe the magnificent cetaceans that frequent these waters. 


Saturday. Kayak to the mainland coast at the foot of the Sierra Giganta.
Transfer to Loreto, dinner is hosted by your guides. Arrangements will be made during dinner for guests that need transportation to the airport for return flights.

            Sunday. Fly home or continue on with the remainder of your vacation.
